JUWI Shizen in Japan

Our global and local expertise in system design, procurement, construction, and maintenance sets a firm foundation for reliable energy production.

JUWI Shizen Energy

JUWI Shizen Energy Inc. was founded in 2013 as an international joint venture of the renewable energy companies Shizen Energy Inc. and juwi AG. The companies combine international expertise and extensive experience in the Japanese project business. The joint venture is headquartered in Tokyo and offers project development, EPC services and project financing in the field of solar and wind energy.

The first joint project, a free field photovoltaic system on the Japanese island Kyushu, is already connected to the grid since December 2012. Since then numerous solar systems were installed in Japan, among others: Solarpark Azuma Kofuji (100 megawatt).

Our Services

Supplied with competence all around.

Wind energy

Our first wind power plant was constructed in February 2018. Moreover, more wind parks including research projects are under way. Our experienced team works on realizing wind energy plants in order to supply Japan with clean renewable energy. Apart from the technical expertise, our strength is the collaboration with governments as well as consensus-building with local people. For sustainability, profitability and progress.

Solar energy

Our strength lies in our ability to provide integrated services for renewable energy power plants, from development to fundraising and EPC. JUWI Shizen Energy has realized more than 600 Megawatt of PV power plants.

After forming the joint venture in 2013 JUWI Shizen Energy (JSE) soon became a sought after expert for the construction of large greenfield solar parks with challenging landscape topography, for example on former golf courses. In total JSE has realized projects with an approximate capacity of 600 megawatts within the scope of EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) projects within the last ten years. The project pipeline is well filled: JUWI Shizen Energy is currently working on multiple construction sites in order to develop about 155 megawatts of solar capacity in various projects in Japan.
